When to go: the music calendar

Getting around
The Shinkansen + festival shuttle is the standard route; on-site everything is on foot (wear good shoes — it’s a mountain). Japan uses the yen (JPY); cash is still handy though cards/IC pay are widely accepted. A JR pass can pay off if you’re touring Japan.
Pack for mountain weather: rain is common — proper waterproofs, sturdy shoes, sun protection and a refillable bottle. Fuji Rock is famously clean — bin your rubbish.
