Getting around
The simplest route is the official Boom shuttle from Lisbon (and other hubs) straight to Boomland; otherwise a car gives flexibility for the remote, rural site. Portugal uses the euro; bring some cash, though the festival uses a cashless token system on-site. Within Boomland everything is on foot.
Plan for serious summer heat. Central Portugal in July is very hot and dry — bring sun protection, a refillable bottle, a hat and shade, plus warm layers for cool nights. Pace yourself across the long week.
