A State of Trance 2027 is listed for February 26–27 at Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands. Plan this trip around Rotterdam, with the venue at Ahoyweg 10, 3084 BA Rotterdam. Earlier versions of this guide incorrectly directed visitors to Jaarbeurs Utrecht; that is not the venue for the edition covered here.
Confirmed dates and the correct event
The Rotterdam Ahoy event listing confirms Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27, 2027. It lists the Ahoy Arena and Halls 1–4, and announces a five-hour Armin van Buuren show on Friday. Follow the venue’s ticket link to check the current product, final price and terms.
Read the year on every page before buying. The organiser’s 2026 FAQ describes the completed February 27–28, 2026 edition. Its opening hours, shuttle services, hotel benefits and ticket-download rules should not be treated as confirmed arrangements for 2027. Use the ASOT festival website alongside Ahoy’s dated listing for subsequent announcements.
Match the city as well as the year: ASOT has pages for other destinations. A ticket carrying the ASOT name alone does not establish entry to Rotterdam. This guide does not claim live ticket availability, a complete 2027 timetable or a guaranteed early-sale saving.
Where to stay for Rotterdam Ahoy
Choose a room by checking the complete return journey after your session. A central address is useful for sightseeing, but does not make Ahoy walkable. Compare these bases using the exact hotel location:
- Zuidplein and the Ahoy area: a practical starting point when reducing the journey after the event matters most. Check the actual pedestrian route, reception hours and room availability; a broad neighbourhood label is not a walking-distance guarantee.
- Rotterdam Centraal and the city centre: convenient for an arrival by train and a separate day in the city. Plan the connection to Zuidplein, then check how you will return when the event finishes.
- Kop van Zuid or the waterfront: consider these if you want a city stay around the festival. Check your nearest operating metro station and your fallback ride, rather than choosing solely by distance across the map.
A room in Utrecht or Amsterdam adds an intercity journey to each festival night. Compare the full transport cost and departure times before treating it as a cheaper substitute. If your chosen session ends after midnight, make sure the room reservation covers the calendar night on which you will actually use it.

Getting to Ahoy and back

Plan the return separately from the outward journey. A daytime route does not establish that a metro or train runs after your final set. We have not verified a special 2027 overnight metro extension or festival shuttle schedule. Recheck these closer to departure and allow for the walk out, queues and any change of transport.
If using a taxi, Ahoy identifies a taxi stand and an Uber pickup point at its forecourt. Confirm the current pickup instructions in your booking and allow for waiting time. Drivers should check event parking availability and overnight charges directly with Ahoy; parking is a separate cost from festival admission.
Flights and airport transfers
Compare Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) and Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) for your origin and dates. With Schiphol, check a rail itinerary to Rotterdam followed by the connection to your hotel. With RTM, price the ground journey to your actual address. A lower flight fare can be offset by baggage charges, an extra hotel night or a costly arrival transfer.
Leave room for delays and check-in before your first session. For departure, account for the event’s finishing time, the journey back, sleep, baggage collection and the correct airport. A short flight itinerary is little help if it requires an impractical early transfer after a late finish.
