The right option depends on how much late-night transport you want to organise and whether you are carrying a tent on a flight.
What is confirmed for 2027
The official homepage confirms 22–24 July 2027. The venue is Peurunka, Peurungantie 85, 41340 Laukaa. At this check the 2027 lineup is not announced; the named artists shown in the previous-edition section belong to 2026. Do not choose a 2027 day ticket on the assumption that an artist from that list will return.
The organiser's information page makes both the festival and festival camping 18+. Bring valid identification and check the admission conditions before booking for a younger group member. Treat resort accommodation, concert admission, camping and transport as separate purchases unless a specific dated package explicitly combines them.
Getting from Helsinki to the festival area
Helsinki (HEL) is a useful gateway for comparing international flights. Build a separate onward journey to Jyväskylä, then to Peurunka. The organiser places Peurunka roughly 25 kilometres from Jyväskylä; arriving in the city is therefore only the first part of festival access. Check rail or coach connections for your actual arrival date and leave a margin after the flight.
A Wednesday arrival gives you time to reach Laukaa or settle into Jyväskylä before the first festival day. On departure, compare a Sunday connection only after checking your campsite or hotel checkout and the transport back to the city. Avoid a tight flight connection that depends on leaving a rural campsite immediately after the last performance.
Staying at Peurunka or in Jyväskylä
Peurunka has several accommodation styles, including hotel rooms, apartments and cottages, while the organiser also lists other local stays such as Varjola. Check the building and entrance route before paying: different room products can have different distances and amenities. Ask explicitly whether the quoted booking includes festival tickets and access to resort facilities.
The hotel page's sold-out Peurunka package is dated July 2026. It is not proof that 2027 rooms are sold out, and its old booking codes should not be reused. Jyväskylä gives another base to compare, but choose a room only after matching it to the current festival-bus departure point and return arrangements.
Festival buses need a current timetable
The official bus page describes services from Jyväskylä, Laukaa and Äänekoski, with advance online ticket sales. It also contains previous arrangements and says schedules will follow in spring. Check that the dates on the booking product match 22–24 July 2027; the older return times are not a confirmed 2027 promise.
For a city hotel, work backwards from the final return bus: where it drops you, how you reach the hotel and whether your pass covers every selected day. The page describes a separate Sunday daytime transfer, so do not automatically count departure-day travel as included in a three-day festival bus pass. Accessible bus spaces also need prior arrangement with the transport operator.
Camping without booking the wrong product
The organiser distinguishes tent camping, Camp Sarcophagus, from the caravan area, Planet Karavan. The camping page still presents a 2026 price list. Use it to understand the accommodation types, then wait for the current pitch and wristband conditions. A vehicle space, an electricity option and a person's camping admission may be different items.
Compare the whole cost of camping with a room: airline baggage, tent and sleeping equipment, any pitch charge, showers or other paid services, and departure transport. Pack for rain as well as warm afternoons. Save the current camping confirmation and site directions before travelling, and do not interpret an old sold-out caravan notice as the 2027 availability status.
