Wonderfruit is Asia’s answer to Burning Man — a gathering of music, art, food and ideas just outside Pattaya. Think handcrafted bamboo stages, sunrise sets, farm-to-table feasts, wellness and talks, all wrapped in a serious sustainability ethos. It’s the most design-led festival in the region, drawing a creative international crowd to the Thai countryside each December. This guide covers when to go, how to get there, where to stay, and how to keep costs down.

When to go: the music calendar
- Wonderfruit — the 2026 edition runs December 3–7 at The Fields at Siam Country Club, near Pattaya in Chonburi province. Confirm the exact dates on the official Wonderfruit site before booking.
- The sound — a deep, eclectic mix that leans electronic (house, disco, downtempo, ambient and live electronica) alongside world music, jazz and experimental acts across multiple hand-built stages, with sets running from sunrise to late night.
- More than music — Wonderfruit is also food (acclaimed chefs cooking in the fields), art and architecture installations, wellness, family programming and talks. Many people come as much for the experience as the lineup.
December is Thailand’s cool, dry season — ideal festival weather. It’s a camping-and-fields festival, so it rewards planning: sort your ticket, accommodation and transport together rather than at the last minute.
Getting there: flights to Bangkok (BKK / DMK) or U-Tapao (UTP)
Most international visitors fly into Bangkok — Suvarnabhumi (BKK) for long-haul/full-service, or Don Mueang (DMK) for budget carriers — then make the roughly 2-hour drive south to The Fields. If you can route via U-Tapao–Pattaya International Airport (UTP), you’re only about 30 km (a 45-minute taxi) from the venue. Set a price watch early; December is high season in Thailand.

Where to stay (matched to your trip)
- On-site camping (The Fields) — from basic pitch-your-own to pre-set tents and glamping. The full Wonderfruit experience: you never leave, and the late/sunrise sets are right there.
- Pattaya hotels — the city is the nearest hub with the widest range of rooms, from budget to beach resorts; confirm the 2026 shuttle or arrange your own return transfer.
- Near Siam Country Club / Jomtien — quieter resorts and condos closer to the venue, good if you want a real bed but a short ride to the gates.
- Bangkok (pre/post) — base in the capital for a night or two on either side to combine the festival with the city.
Getting around
2026 shuttle details are pending. At our September 11 check, the official website still marked shuttles and journeys as coming soon. Wait for the routes, operating hours and pass terms before relying on a festival shuttle. Arrange an alternative return transfer if staying off-site.
Plan for the fields. Days are hot and dusty, nights cooler — bring sun protection, a layer for the early hours, comfortable closed shoes, and a refillable water bottle. Wonderfruit pushes a low-waste, reusables culture, so a cup and bottle genuinely help.
Airport transfer
Coming via Bangkok or U-Tapao and want a fixed price straight to your hotel or Pattaya? Pre-book a private transfer instead of haggling at the rank.

Getting to the festival
The Fields is at Siam Country Club in Chonburi. Check the organiser’s arrival instructions before travelling. Road times from Bangkok, U-Tapao and Pattaya depend on the exact departure point, traffic and event access. Confirm both arrival and late-night return transport; a hotel booking does not include a festival shuttle unless expressly stated.

Money-saving tips
- Compare the current ticket options on the official website. Book transport only when the organiser publishes the 2026 route, timetable and pass conditions.
- Camp on-site at the basic tier to save on hotels and transport, and to catch the sunrise sets without a commute.
- Fly into DMK on a budget carrier from elsewhere in Asia, or check fares into U-Tapao (UTP) to shorten the transfer.
- Eat at the field’s many food stalls and markets rather than only the premium chef tables.
- Split a Pattaya apartment with friends if you’d rather sleep in a bed and shuttle in.
- Set a flight price watch into Bangkok early — December is peak season, so book on a dip.
