Amsterdam Dance Event runs October 21–25, 2026, marking 30 years of ADE. Plan it as a collection of separate events across Amsterdam. Your best hotel location depends on the addresses on your own shortlist, and admission to one party does not automatically cover the next.

Dates, event tickets and the Pro Pass
The official ADE website confirms the five-day festival. ADE Pro’s conference runs Wednesday through Saturday. The Pro Pass description includes conference, festival and networking access, plus five days of GVB travel. Festival access remains subject to capacity at high-demand venues. Check the current conditions and access information for each event; the pass does not promise an unrestricted place at every sold-out show.
For a trip built around two or three specific parties, start with those event pages and their linked sellers. Record the venue, date, admission window, minimum age, finish time and any re-entry restrictions. For a professional visit, compare the conference and networking benefits with your actual schedule before paying for a Pro Pass. Keep tickets in each traveller’s name where required.
Getting to Amsterdam
Schiphol (AMS) is a practical first airport to compare. Its station is beneath the terminal, with rail connections into Amsterdam. Schiphol’s rail guide gives a typical 14–17-minute train journey to Amsterdam Centraal; that excludes walking through the terminal, waiting, disruption and travel onward to your room. Check the current NS planner for your flight’s arrival time.
Eindhoven and Rotterdam airports can be alternatives, but compare the airport bus, train changes and final hotel connection as one journey. A cheaper airfare does not establish a cheaper or faster complete trip. Add baggage charges and leave enough time to reach the first event after immigration, luggage collection and check-in.
Search flights and select Amsterdam (AMS).
Choose a hotel around your event addresses
| Area to compare | Why consider it? | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Centrum or the canal belt | A central base for sightseeing and some evening venues | The exact walking route, street noise and the room total |
| Oud-West or De Pijp | A city neighbourhood base with restaurants and daytime connections | The return after your last event, rather than only a daytime tram route |
| Westerpark | Useful when your confirmed programme is in that area | The actual venue address; a past ADE location does not confirm this year’s event |
| Amsterdam Noord | An option when your chosen events or room are north of the IJ | The relevant ferry or metro service and the walk at both ends |
Compare the full stay for the same number of people and nights, including taxes and cancellation terms. “Near Amsterdam” can mean a substantial nightly journey. Save one outward route and one return route for each venue before deciding that a room is good value. No neighbourhood is guaranteed to be cheapest during ADE.

Build a workable night-by-night route
Put the events you most want to attend into a map first. Group nearby venues on the same night where practical and allow time for queues, cloakrooms and transit. A programme listing that ends after midnight belongs to the following calendar day when you search for transport. Check live routes through GVB; the Pro Pass’s advertised GVB benefit should not be assumed to include the separate NS airport train.
Keep a charged phone, your hotel address and ticket access instructions available. If relying on a ferry, check that specific crossing and time. Cycling can suit confident riders, but choose another way home when tired or after drinking. Leave space for sleep between late parties and daytime sessions.
Budget for the whole trip
Add your chosen admission products, return travel, the complete room bill, airport connections, local transport, meals and a reserve. Avoid counting GVB travel twice if it is already included in your pass. We have not verified a single event-ticket range or hotel price that represents all of ADE, so use current quotes for your actual choices.
A useful comparison is two versions of the same itinerary: individual event tickets plus transport, and a Pro Pass with the benefits you will use. The cheaper total may depend on whether you want conference access, how many parties you attend and whether your preferred venue still has capacity.
