Glastonbury 2027 takes place June 23–27 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset. The 2026 fallow year means there is no 2026 festival to book. For the next edition, start with a valid admission route and a realistic plan for staying near the site; a city hotel is not a substitute for organising the journey to the gates.

The 2027 ticket dates you need

The organiser’s September 8 announcement gives these deadlines, all in British Summer Time (BST):

  • Registration closes: September 25, 2026 at 5pm.
  • Ticket plus coach sale: October 1, 2026 at 6pm.
  • General admission sale: October 4, 2026 at 9am.

General admission is £408, including the £5 booking fee, plus postage and packing. A £100 deposit is payable at the initial sale, with the coach fare added for coach bookings. Follow the announcement for the balance-payment timetable.

Tickets are personalised, non-transferable and sold exclusively through See Tickets. Use the ticket link in the official sale announcement. Complete or check your registration before the deadline; registration does not guarantee a ticket. Generic resale listings are not an authorised alternative.

Camping, pre-pitched tents or a room?

The festival information page distinguishes ordinary camping from separately booked accommodation. Check the section’s year: parts of the transport and accommodation information still describe the previous edition. Worthy View and Sticklinch are official pre-pitched campsite options, but their accommodation bookings are separate from festival admission. Confirm the current sale details and what you must already hold before paying.

If taking your own tent, plan the complete load from transport to your pitch. A tent, sleeping kit, waterproof layers and luggage become a different proposition once you are carrying them across a large site. Share genuinely useful equipment with your group and check the permitted-items rules before packing.

For an off-site room, obtain a workable return journey before booking. A property described as “Glastonbury” may be in the town rather than near the festival entrance at Pilton. Ask about the precise address, check-in hours, parking, any promised transport and the final walk. An independent campsite or hotel does not confer festival admission.

Bath and Bristol can be useful before or after the festival. Treat daily commuting from either as a separate transport decision, with traffic, collection points and late returns to resolve. This guide does not promise a one-hour journey or a continuous city shuttle.

Compare rooms around Pilton, Somerset, United Kingdom. Verify the exact property location and your transport before booking.

Compare Bristol stays before or after the festival. These city stays are separate from festival accommodation.

Choose transport to the correct entrance

Compare the published coach options with rail plus the onward festival transfer. Castle Cary is the rail gateway described in festival travel information; verify the 2027 transfer schedule and rail services before buying a connection. An old shuttle timetable is not evidence of the service you will have next June.

A ticket bought with designated coach travel requires you to use that coach and cannot simply be converted into general admission. Read the official booking conditions before choosing the earlier sale. Do not assume a separately sold bus ticket carries an admission advantage.

If driving, confirm the current car-park product, approach instructions and the route from parking to your campsite. Allow a generous arrival window instead of making a timed performance your connection target. For departure, plan rest and a driver who is ready for the journey, rather than relying on a quick exit from the site.

Flying in from abroad

Compare Bristol (BRS) with the London airport options available from your origin. Check the whole itinerary: airport transfer, rail or coach terminal, onward service, luggage and the night before your festival arrival. London airports are not interchangeable stations; an attractive fare can require an inconvenient cross-city transfer.

If your ticket includes a coach, work backwards from its specified departure location and time. Leave room for a delayed flight, border formalities where applicable, baggage collection and the transfer. For the return, avoid a tightly timed flight after a late festival night or an uncertain departure queue.

Compare flights and select Bristol (BRS) or your chosen London airport.

Build a budget from actual quotes

Begin with the admission cost and its payment schedule, then add return travel, all accommodation nights, camping equipment, food, local transport and a reserve. Separate costs payable now from those due later. A deposit secures a payment obligation under the seller’s conditions; it is not the complete trip price.

Compare like-for-like accommodation: a pre-pitched tent may still need bedding, and a room outside the site may need paid transfers each day. Check baggage charges before choosing between bringing equipment and obtaining it locally. Our music trip planner gives sample budgets and search tools, rather than a confirmed festival package.

Open Glastonbury’s official TikTok channel for footage and updates. Check each clip’s date: material from a previous festival is not evidence of the 2027 lineup, timetable or campsite layout.

Final checks before departure

Review the current access information if anyone in your group needs assistance, and arrange it through the festival’s published process. Check the latest permitted-items guidance, weather forecast, entrance instructions and ticket requirements. Save a meeting point and return plan, and carry a charged phone plus a way to find your accommodation without depending on a signal.
