8123 Fest returns to Mesa, Arizona, in January 2027. The two main festival days are January 15–16, while the organiser places the wider programme—kickoff, after-party, pop-up and other side events—between January 14 and 18. Mesa Amphitheatre is the principal venue, with additional activity in Downtown Mesa.
The confirmed lineup includes The Maine, The Band Camino, Andrew McMahon & The Strings Attached Quartet, The Academy Is…, Beach Weather, The Aces, The Summer Set, In Color, Nick Santino, Broadside, Franklin Jonas & The Byzantines and Sydney Sprague. The appeal is not only the bill: the festival is designed as a reunion for the 8123 community, with merchandise, charity activity and smaller shows around the main weekend.

Some times displayed in the venue section still carry older date data, so use the organiser’s final 2027 schedule rather than copying a calendar entry without checking its year. Side-event tickets may be separate from a two-day festival pass.
Where to stay
Downtown Mesa is the best base if 8123 Fest is the main purpose of the trip. The organiser names several useful options. The 233 Suites is within walking distance of festival activity, while Delta Hotels by Marriott Phoenix Mesa is next to the amphitheatre area. The Azure Hotel is about 1.5 miles away; Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Mesa and Hyatt Place Phoenix/Mesa add more inventory but require a short ride.
Verify the exact cancellation policy and whether a festival group rate is still active. The organiser notes that selected hotel bookings can receive ticket or bundle delivery at the property, but that benefit should be confirmed on the exact booking screen before payment.
Central Phoenix or Tempe provides a bigger nightlife and hotel market, yet adds a daily ride. If you plan to attend the kickoff, both main days and the send-off, Downtown Mesa usually wins on convenience. Hold January 13–19 on a refundable basis and shorten it only after every side-event time is published.
Airports and light rail
The festival recommends Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA). PHX offers the widest flight network and connects to the Valley Metro system via the PHX Sky Train. AZA may be convenient for selected low-cost routes but has fewer ground-transport choices.
Mesa Amphitheatre is about two blocks north of the Main Street/Central Avenue light-rail station. That makes a car-free plan realistic for travellers staying along the rail line. Check the final train time after every side event; a late show at The Nile Theatre may finish after the most frequent service period.
Driving is simple until crowds arrive. The organiser states that free and paid parking are available, but supply and access routes can change. Do not assume a central parking space if you arrive close to doors.
Tickets: use the named partners
Purchase primary tickets through the link provided by 8123 Fest, which currently routes through Eventim. The organiser identifies Tixel as its official resale partner and says tickets are non-refundable. For that reason, this guide does not include TicketNetwork. A secondary marketplace that is not named by the organiser should not displace the official ticket or resale route.
Confirm whether your order is a general-admission ticket or a merchandise bundle, what additional shows it includes, and when collection is available. Save the order reference and bring the accepted identity document if the final instructions require one.
Inside the festival
Mesa Amphitheatre is fully general admission and first come, first served, although the organiser says there are areas where visitors can sit and relax. Arrive early when a particular viewing position matters. The published clear-bag rule permits clear plastic or vinyl PVC bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches; exceptions apply to approved medical equipment after inspection. Recheck the venue rule before packing because side venues can set different limits.
Free water refill stations are expected at the main festival. January afternoons can be sunny and comfortable, while desert evenings become cold quickly. Wear layers, protect against daytime sun and keep a compact bottle that complies with the final entry policy.
For accessibility, the festival describes a separate ADA entry line and on-site staff support. Contact the venue in advance for step-free routes, companion arrangements, viewing areas and permitted medical equipment rather than relying only on arrival-day help.
A five-day rhythm
Thursday: Check in near Downtown Mesa and attend only the announced kickoff activity. Friday and Saturday: Keep the daytime light, arrive early at Mesa Amphitheatre and avoid scheduling a long hike before standing at a general-admission event. Sunday: Use the pop-up or send-off programme if confirmed. Monday: Treat any community or impact activity according to the organiser’s public-access instructions.
Papago Park and the Mesa Arts Center make easy additions. Camelback Mountain is not a casual pre-show stroll; choose a route that matches your fitness, carry water and respect trail warnings.
